Description
This is a common (and fairly harmless) viral infection most often affecting young children, who pass it to each other through saliva.
Symptoms
The virus can cause lesions on the genitals, lower abdomen, buttocks or inner thighs. Please note that most people with the molluscum contagiosum do not have any noticeable symptoms other than the lesions. These lesions often appear as painless wart-like bump that may itch or become irritated.
Transmission
This viral infection is passed through sexual contact exclusively.
Treatment
Treatment is unnecessary as the body will naturally deal with this illness for you. Some physicians may sometimes scrape them off but only worry about this if they don't clear up on their own.
